This site was born out of my need for an activity on rainy days and my desire to be able to express myself through some form of art. It has changed a lot over the years, just as I have. The name Seaglass is due to my love of the actual thing. Ready for a unnecessarily deep explanation of why? Well see seaglass is trash...it's thrown into the ocean by accident or because people don't want it. While it's in there it gets smashed around, ground into the dirt, hits the sharp coral rocks, and finally, years later, ends up on the sand. At this point someone finds it, and no longer is it a piece of sharp, broken trash, it's now a gorgeous treasure, smooth and rare. Pretty cool, huh?! I think so. Hence the name of the site, and my plan for life. That struggles only make us who we are, only make us stronger.

Actually the current phoenix layout connects to that as well. It represents a mythical creature that is "reborn" from the ashes. How incredible is the idea that through our faults and our pain we find ourselves, and we rise again. Light overcomes the darkness.
